What’s the most important part of a golf game? Well, the swing must be up near the top of priorities for most avid golfers. Certainly my swing constantly requires ongoing training!

Nowadays there are all sorts of gadgets and aids. Some work, some don’t. The one I can recommend from personal experience is this one:

Called the Electronic Swing Groover II it “Tracks & analyzes shot distance and direction for each club with full shot analysis and tracking. The ball flight and distance are animated in real time on a large LCD screen.”

Retailing at £119.95 ($180) this gizmo is definitely worth considering for a golf birthday gift.

My wife joined a chocolate tasting club a while back. Funnily enough it was called the “Choclate Tasting Club”!  It was something that I thought she would get bored of very quickly.

How wrong could I be. We’re 2 years down the road now and I am now an enthusiastic participant in the quarterly tasting box that arrives in the post. Sometimes the chocolates are poor, sometimes their average but mostly they are delicious. The great thing is that you get to try new chocolate combinations that haven’t hit the mainstream. Exotic combinations like chilli and dark chocolate or how about this months winning chocolate, the Cherry Pannacotta – “bringing together a creamy, cocoa butter-rich pannacotta with a tangy, tart cherry compote and playing the two off against each other to great effect.”  Ummmm mouth watering.

Receiving these chocolates once a quarter and filling out the rating card can honestly brighten up your day. At the very least you get an incredible hit of delicious chocolate!

For me this would make a great gift for just about anybody. Current membership is £15.95 ($24) per month

Ever watched Friends and dreamt of emulating Joey and Chandler with their luxurious, reclining chairs? I know I have. Particularly during this summer’s soccer world cup, a comfortable recliner with built in foot rest and a cold beer would have gone down a treat. Maybe one day!

I did some nosing about on the internet today to see what sorts of chairs might be available and noticed this quality product from Chaplins retailing for £1,995 ($2,990):

Looks quite simply sumptuous to me and would make a wonderful present for any bachelor, dad or grandad. In fact any man with a penchant for TV, cool beers and sport! Anybody want to buy this iconic chair for me?

If you want some iconic wedding jewellery with a genuine originality, you may want to check out Elizabeth Galton. Since coming to fame in a British TV programme called Dragon’s Den (where contestants pitch for venture capital funding from a panel of wealthy entrepreneurs) Elizabeth Galton’s jewellery range seems to have gone from strength to strength and rightly so in my opinion.

The pieces are pricey, with many retailing for thousands of pounds in the world of couture, but I believe she is beginning to market a more readily affordable range.

This particular style of jewellery may not fit snugly into your jewellery box, but in my opinion it would most certainly make a fine piece of bridal jewellery.
