The Liquid deli, Demijohn, is a truly unique operation, offering exciting and different slants on Liqueurs, whiskies and oils.
The Demijohn bottles are beautifully individual, with handwritten detailing. The liquid inside is often inspired magic.
Grapefruit Vodka is among the base price for these liqueurs of £3.40 / 100ml. It is sharp as you would expect, but welcomely so.
Other liqueurs which I tried - I wish I hadn’t been so eager, as I will now have to re order - were Nelson’s spiced rum Liqueur, perfect for these winter evenings, a real belly warmer and Damson Gin Liqueur which I now hold dear to my heart.
The Demijohn website is fantastic and tantalising. I urge you to visit. This liquid deli, with eco values and great flavour ideas are going to go from strength to strength. As gifts, I think a couple of the 100 ml bottles would be most welcome and would see change from £10.

There is nothing Simple about Simple Simon’s perfect Pies.
I could be seen as a leading authority on Pies, due to my consumption history. I thought I had tracked down the perfect Pork Pie in County Fermanagh from a butchers that supply Harrods. However, I was wrong but I am happy to report that I have now found the ultimate pie in Simple Simon.
Complex flavours, generous classic fillings and a huge choice make these pies a little more than special.
How about “Gressingham Duck Fillets with 5 spice, Pak choi and spring onion”? It tastes better than it sounds and the smell when you slice it open…!!
Chunks of gamey Venison with blueberries and red wine will have you suitably warmed in this cold winter spell.
Festive Mincemeat and apple pie with a dash of cognac or Rich Chocolate and Morello cherry pie will finish off the most perfect of Christmas days.
The range of pies are staggering, the quality equal. All can be home delivered, what a fantastic gift alternative….(hope Fiancee is reading - I have eaten all the pies and want more!)

The Eden Project have some inspiring gift ideas, some of which are listed below, but I very much recommend you going to their website. Revenues from these products are returned to all sources of manufacture / produce.
I start with the Bottle top bag, which is a beautiful bit of rubbish, if that’s ok to say. It is made from recycled can tops and forms a stunning looking handmade bag. This is made in villiages in El Salvador, Brazil. These can tops would have ended up in Landfills. At £45.00 this is a great looking gift, with a strong sense of giving something back to the planet.
How about an Olive set, featuring an Olive tree and kiln jar containing marinated olives (they are gorgeous!) or a coffee plant with El Salvador Monte sion coffee beans, complete with Ceramic Eden mug. I cannot wait for my Olive tree to bear fruit – I bet you know someone who adores olives / Coffee, wouldn’t this be an ideal gift? £19.50 each.
The Eden Project also have a range of clocks made from recycled coffee cups. These all have sleek designs and have the appearance of slate rather than compressed coffee cups! These look the business.
So, If you want to buy a gift, you could go for something mass produced probably made in China. Or you could help the environment and the communities where these items were produced. No more need be said….
This gives Doggy bags a whole new meaning!
Fuzzy nation have produced a great range of hand bags, with the design centered around cute pooches. The bags are well constructed, with enough room for your essentials – but forget all about that, These handbags are different from the norm and hugely charming.
There has been no shirking from Fuzzy nation in terms of inspiration, design and production. The finished articles have a quality finish with the emphasis on fun fashion (even Paris Hilton made a purchase recently!)
When the packaging is as good as it is, you know the product inside is going to be a winner. This would be an absolute favourite for young ladies and Fashionistas everywhere.
With prices starting at £11.99, I urge you to go to their excellent website to view the complete range.
