Not sure how practical a diamond encrusted cutlery set would be but it’s sure going to be pretty. That’s the perceived thinking behind the Christofle Diamond Studded Cutlery set - which is set to retail for a staggering £200,000 ($400,000) through Selfridges Wonder Room.

Christofle, the French crystal and silverware manufacturer has named the range Malmaison Diamond. Fairly apt name when you consider that one hand made tablespoon contains 36 diamonds.

I can’t quite see the logic in having a diamond encrusted cooking pot, nonetheless this one does have a certain aesthetic beauty to it.

Manufactured by Fissler a German based premium cookware business, the pot includes gold and diamond adornments. Due to retail for a staggering £100,000 ($200,000) this pot will make an appearance at London’s Harrods Department Store (for exclusive clientele only) between 10th September to 20th October.

The lucky purchaser won’t be knocking up the odd spaghetti bolognaise in it I feel!!!

We just love this funky Francis Francis coffee machine. Colourful, compact and functional.

Made in Italy this espresso/cappuccino machine looks like it has the pedigree of a Ferrari and by all accounts the coffee it produces is delicious. Filled with features the Francis Francis includes a 15 bar pump, temperature gauge, hot water dispenser, 1.5 litre capacity, a removable water tank and drip tray.

John Lewis retail this product for £375 ($693) and say:

“The`retro-futuristic`design of Luca Trazzi’s X1 coffee machine is typical of the innovative styling of Francis Francis! products. Presented in 1995, the X1 is now sold in 28 countries.”
