Gone Digging is a new web site that was launched earlier this week. The concept offers a wide range of personalised gift ideas that are novel and fun.
Gone Digging personalised gifts include:
Personalised Newspaper

This one is our favourite. Gone Digging has exclusive agreement with Mirror newspapers, to personalise spoof Mirror newspapers with a front page splash about your nearest and dearest - be it Britain’s top model, receiving a Knighthood from the Queen, England’s new football manager or a sports headline they’ve always dreamed of. Going green has now entered the board game market in the form of Green Board Games.
Green Board Games specialise in ethically sustainable games and puzzles comprised within the BrainBox range. It is said that they will not only keep the kids entertained but also offer great fun for mum, dad, friends and family. I must confess to almost always ending up in arguments over board games - so I’m a little sceptical about that claim! Nonetheless, the concept sounds good.

The hamper business does seem to have been getting rather stale of late - so it’s quite nice to hear about someone challenging the market.
That’s what Nicki Stewart has attempted do with her Diverse Hampers. After diversifying out of stationery Nicki decided to offer offer a fresh, high quality and stylish alternative to the traditional wicker basket filled with cheeses and ham. The company provides a collection of striking gifts in towers of boxes containing products from small, artisan producers in the UK. As a result Businesszone.co.uk awarded her the top spot in their new business award.
Our particular favourite is this delightful organic gift hamper.

Panelists judging the new business finalists at the presentation stage were Jonny Allatt, investment director at Zeus Private Equity, Modwenna Rees-Mogg, editor of Angel News, Samantha Fountain, founder of Shewee and Ben Heald, CEO at Sift.
Nicki adds: “Far from being accomplished in the art of presenting, I entered the competition with apprehension! However, I found the process of presenting to such an important audience an invaluable experience.”

I recently ran out of juice for my ipod in a remote location and wondered how this predicament might be averted in future.
Low and behold a solution might have presented itself. This solar powered charger for mp3 players, mobile phones, digital cameras, GPS and other handheld devices offers enough charge to put the zip back into your gadget.

It offers the assurance of “Plugging into the sun or the wall and charge gadgets anywhere anytime”. Umm can it really be that simple?
Anyway this intriguing device known as a “hybrid charger” holds enough power to charge a mobile phone twice or provide you with 20 hours of music on your iPod.
Named the Solio Classic, it is a one stop charging solution and possibly a pretty handy tool for travel, emergency situations or those who spend extended periods of time on the go.
