Beauty-boxes.com have a fantastic range of beauty cases, trolleys and beauty accessories. At Iconic gifts, we were lucky to be sent the St.Tropez box in pink and we were delighted at it’s functionality and looks.
The Box retails at £36.95 from http://www.beauty-boxes.com. It is a medium sized cosmetics and accessories case that opens out from the top to reveal 2 soft lined pull out sections with a deep drawer below. Absolutely loads of space.
The strong chrome hinges are complimented by the tough ribbed aluminium finish of the case. It is British designed and oozes quality.
This would be a great gift for beauty professionals or just for home use. You should never have a problem finding your favourite make ups or creams again.
Food hampers don’t come much better than from online retailer My Secret Kitchen. The company have launched a range of delicious gift hampers this Christmas that touch every taste sensation imaginable.
The products are nicely packaged, free of artificial colours and flavours, and taste divine (trust us we’ve had the opportunity to taste first hand).
There are two great sets we recommend:
CHRISTMAS CONDIMENTS - £22
• Three-windowjute gift bag
• Tapenade with Smoked Garlic
• Fig Pudding Pickle
• Jumping Jack Chilli Jam

THE ULTIMATE MY SECRET KITCHEN HAMPER - £125
• Large wicker hamper
• Full range of delicious products
With my heavily receding hairline I recently decided it was time to lose the whispy quiff and take the lot off. But historically if you want your head shaved you have to go to the barber or risk the clippers at the hands of the other half, which ultimately means one side ends up higher than the other and there are random ‘long bits’ left scattered about (especially behind the ears).
Well I’m pleased to say that those days are well and truly over with this fabulous new device from Babyliss. It’s called the ‘Easy Cut’ and for good reason… you can do it yourself at your convenience knowing that you achieve an even cut all over. I recently received a sample to try out and have to say that I was mightily impressed.
It retails for around £40 and comes with two comb guides that allow you to choose length settings for grades 1-6 (3-18mm). It’s easy to hold in the palm of your hand and is rechargeable or can be used at the mains. It even collects hair inside the clipper and you never need to oil the blades as it has an auto lube system built in… is there anything these guys haven’t thought of?
You really won’t be disappointed with this product! You can pick these up online or in Argos.
In December 2008, Iconic Gifts reviewed the Air Jax headphones from Atomic Floyd. Our comments and reaction was highly positive and rightly so, Atomic Floyd produced a set of headphones that knocked the spots of their higher priced rivals.
Guess what? They have done it again! The Hi Def Drum headphones are simply outstanding. The Atomic Floyd dual filter technology employed delivers pitch perfect sounds for both audio and the in built microphone, great for making and responding to calls, whilst on the go.
You can buy online at www.atomicfloyd.com/hidefdrum (£99.00).
The clarity is awesome, the inner chambers made from Acoustic steel, a sound enhancing material. There are choices of ear bud sizes and comes with an airplane adapter.
Even the storage pouch is double stitched triple layered leather. It is the attention to detail of such things that give me the confidence in stating these truly are an unbelievable set of headphones.
For world class sound and spectacular acoustics, you will not find a better pair of headphones for under £100.
Thoroughly recommended.
Not sure about you, but I often find it hard to switch out of work mode and into ‘Christmas spirit’... until I watch a good Christmas flick that is. It’s a Wonderful Life has to be one of the greatest all time Christmas ‘feel good movies’ and this year it’s out in time for the big day (2nd November) to own on DVD and for the first time on Blu-ray.
You can enjoy the immortal director Frank Capra’s classic in glorious high definition in both the original black and white version and now in a beautifully colourised version of the film. Both versions of the film feature on the Blu-ray and also on the DVD.
James Stewart is George Bailey, a man who at a low point in his life considers his suicide on Christmas Eve. Seeing his despair, an unconventional guardian angel, Clarence, comes to visit George and takes him on a journey through his home town of Bedford Falls. Throughout their journey, George comes to see just how destitute and unhappy his family, friends and community would have been had he never been a part of their lives.
