Quite frankly I consider myself a complete sucker for personalised silverware. I guess it’s a sense that someone has actually thought about the gift.

It wasn’t until someone bought me a lush silver ring that I heard about the London Silver Vaults. This place has all manner of dealers selling new and antique pieces which can be engraved on site.

We recently purchased some amazing value napkin rings for a very reasonable £25 ($50).

Go check them out…

These Kiki McDonough earrings are colourful and unique. The perfect gift for a special occasion - although my wife felt they were a little bit gaudy for her tastes. Nonetheless, this kind of flamboyant earring has been making waves on the catwalks all year.

I’m not sure this piece from Angelo Figus is going to set any trends, but it certainly has real character.

For the bling generation, these Longmire, starfish cufflinks could be a must have.

Although, retailing at £5,060 ($10,000) might mean they rarely see the light of day. I would be petrified of losing one!

Longmire say:

“Elegantly modelled starfish shaped design set with diamonds in 18k white gold (also available set with black diamonds).”

Anybody reading this, who fancies buying me these exquisite Longmire Knot Cufflinks can do so....  They are just wonderful. Simple and understated, but contemporary and stylish. These will undoubtedly make a superb wedding, birthday or Christmas gift.

Longmire say they are “uniquely modelled knots in 18k yellow gold, also available in white or rose gold (or iron).”

Retailing at £2,500 ($5,000) - which is a bargain at the price, if you consider keeping hold of these for the rest of your life - which I certainly would.
