We have previously featured on Iconic Gifts how you can name a star after your loved one. It’s important to see this as a bit of fun and no it won’t be the official registered name of that star, nonetheless it was an original gift idea which we like at Iconic Gifts.
So in a similar vein we spotted the “buy a piece of the moon” gift and thought umm that’s a pretty original idea too.
According to lastminute.com “they will sell you an acre of prime moon real estate for £20 - Buy one get one free - Offer ends soon.”
In their words:

If you really fancy sending a gift that’s really different, this idea could be the one. Lastminute.com sell it as follows:
“Your loved one will receive a framed personalised certificate, giving their star database reference number. This new updated pack also includes an educational astronomy starter kit, with a sky chart and star plotter to help you find the area of your own star. With a RRP of £40, these are only £20 for lastminute.com customers.
Your star name will be recorded within the Intergalactic Star database and allocated with a unique star number from this database. Please note that this is a fun, inspirational gift and scientific institutions will continue to refer to stars by their catalogue number or coordinates only.”
Might be a tad cheesey but definitely an orginal gift idea!

This is quite an interesting one. How about gifting your loved one some ownership in their favourite soccer club. I don’t quite understand why you wouldn’t go direct to the stock exchange and buy some shares instead, but there you go. Anyway, it’s an interesting idea being marketed by lastminute.com
According to lastminute.com:
“Call yourself a football fan eh? Well, think again mate. Real supporters don’t just watch their club, they own a bit of it as well. You can now give the gift of share ownership to a football fan. They will receive an exclusive shareholder gift-pack, a genuine share certificate displaying their name (registered and delivered separately) and the entitlement to rights and perks of the shareholder. They will also receive important information directly from the club including annual reports, invitations to meetings and a right to vote on issues affecting the club.
The gift pack will be delivered directly to you and enclosed in the gift pack will be information on how to register the share in the fans name.”
So there you go.
