This Friday 29th April will hold the wonderful Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton. These are UV beads or sunny beads, and I think kids will go mad for them; probably setting of the next big trend in school! When these colourless beads are exposed to ultraviolet light (like sunlight), they change colour. When exposed to UV light, the chemical structure within the beads changes, allowing the material to absorb a pigment or dye and show colour. Out of sunlight, it reverts to colourless again.
