The Tramontana is described as “half jet fighter, half grand prix car”. Retailing at £500,000 ($1,000,000) I would describe it as expensive!

However, for your money you get to boast that your Tramontana is one of only 12 on the planet. Although resembling a F1 car, you do have the option of a one or two seat configuration that will propel you to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds reaching a top speed of 220 mph.

Features include:

Iconic cars from years gone by still hold great affection for many. The problem is that many original models are either too expensive for the man on the street or require a full time mechanic to keep them on the road.

The solution is to buy replica vehicles. Something like this beautiful C-Type Jaguar could be yours for a very reasonable £53,000 ($106,000). I say reasonable because the originals go for significant sums.

Beautifully crafted, hand made, aluminium body and replica chassis make the this a genuine doppelganger for Jaguar’s 1951 Le Mans winner, but with the advantage of modern brakes and suspension.

Any six cylinder XK series engine can be fitted but the most powerful (a 320bhp 4.2 litre) gives 140 mph top speed and 0-60 in 5.5 seconds. The replica C-Type comes with authentic single driver’s door or two door guise.

Nostalgia cars build these masterpieces from scratch and say:

“Witin every Nostalgia C Type is something unique and totally rewarding, forged from an understanding of what a true hand built sports car should be, combined with simple innovation and Jaguar inspired track and road success.  As always every owner is encouraged to take an active part in the final specification of their Nostalgia C Type. We believe in building a life long relationship with both our customers and each of our cars.”

The Spada Codatronca was created by the same guy who brought us the Smart Car. You wouldn’t think it would you!

image

Stylish, sleek, original are just a few adjectives that describe this incredible car that can reach speeds of 208 mph.

The back of the car has been effectively lopped off hence the name Codatronca which means “cut tail” in Italian. This design feature gives the car a decent load space, two aluminum seats and a magnesium roof.

Due to go on sale in 2008 the Spada Codatronca will come in two flavours - the 600bhp Turismo Sportivo and the 700bhp TS Veloce.

Both cars will go like the clappers. Interestingly, if you get overtaken by one a digital readout on the rear of the car will inform you exactly how fast it was going. Not too clever if you go past a police car of course!!

Due to retail for £85,500 ($171,000).
