The legendary and in my opinion Iconic board game - Monopoly has taken a leap forward into the world of credit!

image

The makers of Monopoly have taken the board game and dusted off the cobwebs to give it a more contemporary feel. One of the key updates is to introduce electronic banking via a replica debit card complete with reader and calculator so that you can keep tabs on your growing riches. Nice touch but personally I prefer the feel of paper cash, it’s that bit more tangible to players, nonetheless there’s no stopping progress.

Apparently, Visa had some involvement in the card’s design (no doubt a lucrative product placement deal was struck). The new game will retail for £24.99 ($37).

I used to be a hardcore computer games addict in my younger days. I mean full on playing 6 hour stints until 4, 5 o’clock in the morning. It got so bad that it started to affect my studies at university and that’s when I decided to wean myself off from my Playstation. Even now I get the odd temptation to lose hours on an XBOX, but now I tend to pull back by sinking myself into a good book with my pipe and slippers. Not really but you get the gist.

However, if I was to jump head long back into gaming I think it would be the XBOX that would get my dollars. In particular I saw the XBOX 360 steering wheel and thought umm I quite fancy that - maybe I should buy this product under the pretence of giving it to my young nephew!
