18 Greatest Scottish Golf Holes is up there with the most beautiful golf books ever produced.
The limited first edition, with a run of just 3000 copies is available now from www.18greatestgolf.com .

Having got to grips with this fine tome, I can confirm that the presentation is exquisite. Printed on the finest quality heavyweight paper and presented in a bespoke slipcase, this is a complete treat for all golfing enthusiasts.
The imagery is better! Artist and designer Siobhan Hardy Royer has done an immense job with the illustrations and lay out. The photography is natural, unfiltered and worlds away from much golf photography. New York-based National Geographic contributor John Kernick has delivered some spectatcular shots.
This marvellous book has been produced by 18 Greatest Golf, a new publishing company based in Inverness Scotland and Atlanta Georgia.
18 Greatest Golf are in a great position to publish further titles, with two currently in production - 18 Greatest Irish Golf Holes is released in March and 18 Greatest US Open Golf Holes in October next year.
Craig Morrison and Andrew Ross expertly detail some of Scotland’s most famous holes including Troon’s Postage Stamp and St Andrew’s Road Hole as well as newer courses including Kingsbarns and Castle Stuart.
The book is backed up by many contributors including Colin Montgomerie, the winning Ryder Cup captain:
“The book’s aim is a simple one: to give Scottish golf and its great holes the treatment they deserve. And that aim has been achieved.
“For my part it is great to see Scottish golf presented so sharply, to see with fresh eyes the forgotten wonders of older clubs we sometimes take for granted as well as to see the remarkable style of some of the country’s newest golf courses.”
A superb collection of brilliant images and insightful quotes, a wonderful gift for all Golfing fans. It is available from http://www.18greatestgolf.com (£150)

This could possibly be the most important stocking filler this year!
The world of websites, SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) and online marketing can be a daunting arena. I personally embarked on my own techie voyage around two years ago. What I found was there is a lot of information freely available on the net. What I then found fairly quickly was a lot of this information was incorrect, outdated or just very difficult to grasp.
“Create A Successful Website” by Paula Wynne addresses this problem. The friendly yet authoritative narrative makes this a joy to learn from – and learn you will. The techniques described are all current and very much correct.

This book has a depth to it which surprised me. I consider myself to be fairly knowledgeable in this area, but as I read, I started to take some notes. These notes, packed full of helpful web tips, ended up being a seriously long list of To Dos. I have taken more from this guide than I thought I would, I am very grateful that I was asked to review it.
The book gives you the basics, step by step guides in the natural order of website evolution. Choosing free websites, hosted sites and bespoke development are all covered. If I had read this book before doing anything at all, I would have not only saved a stack of time, but would have done things a lot differently.
“Create A Successful Website” is universal – meaning it’s not just for a Techie. In fact, It is THE book for someone who isn’t too confident with the web, but wishes to gain knowledge in this area.
As a gift, it could be priceless. It is aimed at new business start ups, small businesses and individual business owners, but also has a huge relevance to the home blogger. Not got a blog yet? Just make sure you read this book first and you will not repeat the errors I have made on my journey.
So, who do you know who could benefit from such a book? Literally anyone who has an interest in websites or wishes to put together their own blog site.
The number of respected contributors to this guide is awesome. Paula Wynne and her gang know their stuff. Each section comes complete with all the tips you need and handy blank sections for your own notes. “Create A Successful Website” will become the only website reference book you need.
From this book, I have now developed my own website (HTML knowledge not required). I have also listed my own personal blog on some really useful directories that I didn’t know about.
On start up, you have to make sure you choose the right free site or blog host. If you get this part wrong, It’s something that will cause regret. The right advice is all here and Paula Wynne will continue to be by your side as your website gains momentum.
This is a great introduction to the online world, enabling you to become a confident webmaster. Follow everything in this DIY online technique reference book and you will soon have a website to be proud of.

(Foreword by Sir Alex Ferguson)
The wonderful welsh wizard that is Ryan Giggs is a player that would stroll into any team…on any continent.

Luckily, I am a United fan and had been long before Giggsy signed as a fourteen year old with Sir Alex Ferguson.
I have been with Giggs since before the rise of the Mighty Reds. That’s what makes My Story, My Life so hard to put down. There is a well documented growth, both of team and boy.
The footballing career of Ryan Giggs has been extraordinary. He has become the most decorated player in English football history and collected eleven Premier League, four FA Cup and two Champions League winners medals and just as important – especially when you look around at some of his colleagues – has remained an absolute professional throughout.
If you are looking for a role model in football, forget all the idiots that cannot conduct themselves in an acceptable way, and look to Giggs.
Alongside his brilliant playing career Giggs has found the admiration and respect across the football world, from fellow players and fans alike.
The book includes contributions from many of Giggsy’s fellow team members such as Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney, Gary Neville and John O’Shea and also other footballing greats such as Sir Bobby Charlton, Ian Rush and Bryan Robson.
This book is on a par with Roy keane’s autobiography…which means it is a brilliant read, packed with some memorable images.
This is a must for all United fans. Giggs remains so close to all supporters hearts. Loyalty, humility and respect – That’s Ryan Giggs own personal treble.
Such a star, Can you imagine if he played for England? (I can say that, I’m a ¼ welsh!)
Amazon are retailing this at a little over £12!
There is nothing better than watching your child’s face when they see something amazing. Their little faces light up, and you know that they are truly happy, which leaves you glowing inside. So to see their faces, when they read a book, which has a picture of them in every page and includes their name, you will know that you have given them a very special gift indeed.
We have reviewed Its Your Story a few times at Iconic Gift’s, and have never been disappointed with the books they produce. They specialise in photo-personalised books for children and adults, and with a range books available, there is always something for everyone.
For this Christmas, I urge you to check out the Snowman book. It is titled the name of your chills snowman, such as Charlie’s Snowman. This 28-page, laminated book takes the child on a magical Christmas adventure to the North Pole. Find out what happens when the child wakes on Christmas Day morning to discover a double-decker bus parked in the garden full of snowmen. Your child will be open-mouthed wanting to know what will happen next.

Follow their adventures as the child is transformed into an elf and helps Father Christmas wrap, sort and deliver all the presents. Will they make it back to their home before everyone wakes up? And will the family believe that they have helped save Christmas?

The story features the child’s face on every page and includes personal information including their address, the name of a friend and family members. It is suitable from 2-7 year olds, but honestly, the grown-ups can get so much fun and amazement from this too. It will cost you £17.50, but is something that your child will hold onto for many years ahead.
