EA Sports have unleashed Active 2.....I’m pleased to let you know it’s a right little monster!

Active 2 has all the best bits of the first release, EA Sports Active 1, and now comes with some great new additions.

Wii fit? Forget it. If you are serious about getting fit and want your Wii to assist, Look to EA Sports Active 2. This is a more serious, high energy and intense workout.

With over 70 Exercises and Activities There is something for everyone. The choice will also sustain a longer term fitness, including foundational exercises like squats, lunges, and bicep curls and fun fitness activities such as mountain boarding, basketball, and boxing.

EA SPORTS Active 2 also features an innovative wireless control system powered by motion sensors in leg and arm straps that provide complete freedom of motion. You could be at the gym!

For more realism, how about the 9-week program? Designed by certified personal trainers this provides total body conditioning using progressive exercise to get you where you want. This is motivational stuff, You can achieve your goals.

A Heart rate Monitor is included in the pack and it is oh so useful. Your personal trainer is with you, not for a picnic, but to help you get fit and back into shape. He means business – You will soon be uttering insults under your breath! Keep tabs on your ticker on screen when he is punishing you.

He is the man!!!

This is a brilliant 2nd instalment and the extra new bits add to the party. If this game was to be a personal trainer, You’re talking David Haye. In comparison, the Wii Fit would be Audley….‘Nuff said.

Available from today at Amazon and all great video games stockists.

Much cheaper than the gym / personal trainer and, in my experience, more effective.

10/10.

I have reviewed the new craze of Zumba Fitness before, and absolutely love it.  Not only do you get the ultimate workout, but you have a great amount of fun whilst doing it.  Zumba classes are getting more and more popular now, with many people wanting to find out what is so ‘good’ about this super new trend, and trust me, they are sure to love it and will most definitely go back for more!

If you are thinking of embarking on a Zumba Class, you will want to have the perfect outfit for doing so.  Something that is incredibly comfortable, but also something that will also make you look great is a must for your new fitness experience; so the perfect outfit has got to be ‘Zumba Clothing’. The clothing you wear should make you feel attractive and enhance your body image and appearance. You know you will work out better if you feel good doing it!  However, your clothes should fit comfortably and allow you to move with plenty of freedom - especially for a Zumba dance workout class.

Zumbawear is not only fashionable, but very practical and extremely comfy to wear.  With the Zumbawear, doing your next dance move will be easy.  There are many lines of Zumba clothing available today. They come in a variety of colours, styles and sizes (from xs-xxl).  From cargo pants to Hoodies, and Bra Tops to Sports Skorts, your workout outfit will be well catered for with the Zumbawear.

Here are some of my favourites:-

Oh Man! What a game! FIFA 11 out ranks the others with ease.

image

It shattered sales records when it was released on October 1st, selling 2.6 million copies in it’s first weekend (820,000 in the UK) and has been described as the ‘best football game ever created’!

And it is. There is so much going on with this one, it’s hard to know where to start. Let’s just say I’ve got blisters on top of blisters.

A one player footy game can sometimes be a trying affair. Your computer opponent can be either too good or not good enough. This is different though, with personalised traits in each player, which levels the playing field.

The personalities of each player is a main and important theme. Each player performs differently on and off the ball. Even the keepers will react differently – crazy Barthez style or a more “safe hands” approach.

Celebrations for each player are also bespoke, which can be very entertaining in itself.

With all these differing traits, you get a sense of massive longevity.

And then, the game play… Dribbling becomes an art form, you will be finding spaces like Giggs. The passing has been updated too, inch perfect passes can be executed as you command the pitch.

The game has complete authenticity — 28 officially licensed leagues, over 500 licensed teams and more than 15,000 players. You can mix it with the big guys too – create yourself using Photo Game Face. Who said you wouldn’t make it as a pro?

The two player mode is a joy (hence, the blisters) and my other favourite bit was the customisable crowd chants….and I am not allowed to give any examples, although I can tell you they were very childish!

Total Football.
