Saucony are known for being at the cutting edge of sporting and leisure footwear, but today I am writing about one of their hottest ventures – a dual project that incorporates designs from the legendary New Jersey footwear store Packer!
This Spring/Summer Saucony have teamed up with Packer Shoes to release a super limited edition range of four exclusive designs. These designs are colourful, bold and unique. Furthermore there are on 77! Yes 77, pair of each shoe being released to the UK. Also, only 350 will be released worldwide – these shoes are SUPER exclusive, to say the least!
The shoes are Packer’s take on saucony’s popular Saucony Grid 9000 style, which are the highest level in comfort and cushioning. The North Jersey store has injected an extra feeling of brightness and boldness to the range – the result is an eclectic mix of vibrant colours, accompanied by a classic look. They come in Tan/Blue, Green/Orange, Orange/Grey and Red/Grey – take a peek.

Who doesn’t like being treated to a meal out? The perfect gift? Maybe.
Of course, it depends on the quality of the meal, not to mention the price. In these penny pinching days, it’s good to have a meal out option that will not break the bank yet still deliver quality that will ensure an enjoyable time with a loved one.
I think I have cracked it. Do you want a quality establishment, with equal quality in the food served and a bill that will make you want to dance about?
I recently went to a local Beefeater Grill. It was during a lovely spell of weather and the Bridge Barn in Woking was a perfect setting – lovely grounds right by the canal.

We went for lunch and immediately noticed it was busy. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is busy. It’s even better when there are enough capable staff to cater for these busy periods.
The lunchtime menu is as extensive as the evening menu, featuring all the usual classic dishes. The lunch menu comes with the added bonus of having ‘value’ dishes to choose from. Fish and chips for less than a fiver, or steak and chips for £6.99!
The evening menu does also have value options available – How about 2 courses for £10.99 or 3 for £12.99?
I chose the rump steak ordered rare. The steak was tender and moist and cooked perfectly. I am guessing the chefs know their stuff, they must cook 100s of steaks and I am also guessing each steak is cooked to each customer’s specifications every time.
All this value and quality….and it gets better. Bottomless chips! Yep, a never ending supply of chips. I also appreciated the real ale choices. I went for a couple of spitfires and (again) I couldn’t find fault.
The food was perfect, the staff were excellent, the setting was beautiful and the price was the best bit.
Next time you are looking to treat your loved one, you really should consider a Beefeater Grill near you, they do not disappoint!
If you want to treat someone to a meal at a Beefeater grill, why not give them a restaurant voucher? You can find out more here.
Coeur De Lion is an up and coming independent clothing brand for men, with class, quality and a Great British feel. The brand is in its infancy and yet it already has a great feeling of style and heritage.
It is a brand that pulls on the history of the iconic King Richard I, also known as Richard the Lion Heart, whose coat of arms was made up of two Lions and it is this image which forms the brands logo. Reigning from 1189 to 1198, Richard I was responsible for great changes across Britain, furthermore, his two lion crest laid the foundations for the subsequent three lion crest of today.
The size of the range is modest and is made up of fine polo t-shirts, lamb’s wool jumpers and jackets. I was lucky enough to get my hands on one of the lamb’s wool jumpers and I have to say the quality is excellent. It is light, well made and has a great feeling of quality. Also, it doesn’t feel as though you could get too hot wearing it, therefore, making it perfect to wear on spring and summer evenings.
The Lambswool jumper is available for £69.99.

Here are a couple of other pieces from their range:
Polo Shirts available from £49.99

Jackets and coats from £69.99

If you are looking for model kits for beginners, or even for a bit of fun, then look no further than the Revell’s Star Wars EasyKits. They are a fantastic way of introducing budding model-makers to the modelling world, as they require no glue, no paint, no mess and minimal fuss! The only piece of kit I would recommend is a pair of plastic clippers and possibly a small file – but that’s just me – a pair of small scissors should suffice.
The Star Wars EasyKits range
Inspired by the phenomenon that is Star Wars; this range brings you the chance to re-create some of the franchises’ most iconic vehicles, aircrafts and other inter-galactic goodies.
EasyKits Star Wars® X-34 Landspeeder

Travel the deserts of Tatooine by recreating this authentic looking Landspeeder – complete with Luke Skywalker and C3PO!
The kit is really easy to assemble – even I managed to do it and in about 30 minutes! The kit is comprised of a modest 41 parts and comes with a multi-position display stand, so you can show off your skills.
EasyKits Star Wars® Millennium Falcon
Every single Star Wars fan wishes they could fly the Millennium Falcon, unfortunately, I cannot offer you that, but I can tell you how to get your very own replica model!
This legendary star-ship is the most iconic, most famous and most desirable vehicle in the Star Wars universe. Having been restored by the Rebel Alliance, it became the possession of the charismatic Han Solo and his sidekick Chewbacca, and stole the show in the first trilogy of films. Like the Landspeeder - this is easy to make, fun to build and looks brilliant!!
