Paxton & Whitfield supplies Selfridges, Harvey Nichols and Harrods with their artisan cheeses and fine food products….if it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for Dad!!!

And it really is. Iconic gifts sampled the Father’s Day Gift Pack. It’s hard to remember a finer tasting, male orientated food gift set.

Trust me, it’s everything a Dad could want on the 19th June.

The set contains a magical combination of miniature waxed Stilton, a jar of Piccalilli, a bottle of No. 93 English Real Ale and a pack of Malted Crackers.

Now remember, this is from Paxton and Whitfield of swanky Jermyn st, London, high end food supplier and it shows. Everything right down to the crackers are delicious.

The stilton was strong and as creamy as I have tried and the Ale was dynamic and the perfect complement to the set. I am a bit of a real ale fan and I am trying to place No. 93…it’s very similar to Spitfire, no bad thing!

This seriously upmarket food gift set is only £20.00.

There are plenty of other alternatives to choose from as well, such as The Captain’s Favourite – a gift pack of a potted Stilton and a bottle of Port, a stylish set of cheese knives, a tempting Tomato & Chilli Jam and some delicious Cheese Bites.

Marmite, you either love it or hate it.  For some people, it is their worst nightmare on toast, for other it is simply heaven on a plate.  But, as Marmite spreads its Christmas cheer this year with Marmite themed gifts, you are all going to Love it!

Lovers of this distinctive sweet and savoury Marmite spread are set to have a fantastic Christmas with the launch of the Very Peculiar Milk Chocolate Bar (£3.00).

This 100g bar consists of scrumptious creamy chocolate with the hint of marmite spread, tickling the taste buds of all the Marmite fanatics across the country.  This is must-have stocking filler for all your marmite loving friends and family.  It is packaged very beautifully and really does look the part!

Marmite enthusiast, MsMarmiteLover predicts the new milk chocolate bar will create a plethora of mixed reviews commenting:-

“greeted with a waft of yeasty Marmite, I was eager to see how the powerful punch would relate to chocolate. The verdict: a creamy milk chocolate treat with a bewildering and counter intuitive/yeasty/umami bite that would definitely provide an interesting alternative to the traditional but somewhat uninspiring Christmas chocolates. Strangely unique…”

Also available in the 2010 gift range by Marmite is a host of Marmite themed gift sets.  I just love The Toast Rack Set (£12.50), it hosts a ceramic marmite toast rack, knife and marmite spread.  I am sure even the Marmite haters will like this one!

Also available in this excellent range is the Marmite Cheese Board Dome complete with wooden handled cheese tools, or a Marmite teapot & mug.  From cheese boards, ceramic teapots and toast racks to ceramic serving dishes, cook books and butter dishes, there’s plenty of Marmitey things on offer to dapper up Christmas for everyone this year.

I have reviewed the English Cheesecake Company before, and am thrilled to say that I am now once again about to do the same!

Being a Cheesecake fanatic, I just can’t resist the mouth watering dessert.  Now I have finally had the chance to sample one of the most amazing, spectacular cakes from this company, and I can tell you that I am most delighted with them.  What a fantastic cheesecake it was.  It has the softest, yummiest, scrumptious filling, with a base that just melts in your mouth.  Oh, the taste is just divine, you will, without a doubt have to sample one out for yourself!

There are a variety of cheesecakes available, but with Halloween around the corner, I have to show you these.

The ‘Pumpkin Patch’ cheesecake has a combination of dark chocolate spiders and chocolate orange pumpkins, heaped on top of irresistible and delicious classic rich and creamy vanilla cheesecake on a crunchy chocolate biscuit base.  I’m licking my lips at this one!
