Tribute to Honour, a world first in Scotch for Royal Salute was recently displayed for VIP media at the Foundation Polo Challenge weekend in LA.
The event hosted the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and luminaries such as model Molly Sims, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Billy Zane, Rob Lowe and Nicolette Sheridan.
If you are looking for a different kind of gift, something that will stay with the recipient forever, you just cannot go wrong with this one. The Dublin Invasion promises to be a perfect gift for all Star Wars fans…
Sci Fi conventions have been labelled as maybe a bit geeky, but Emerald Garrison’s Dublin Invasion is the real deal. This is an exhibition of what is, to many, the best loved film of our childhoods.
This Easter weekend (April 23rd, 24th and 25th), Dublin will host the invasion. The exhibition is recognised as one of the most professional in the world. The attractions include the most amazing replica props.
Emerald Garrison have delivered authentic and realistic models, such as life size Y wing fighter and life size AT ST walker (!), speeder bike, Sith speeder bike and skiff.
You can get photos with Darth Vader, Princess Leia, R2-D2, the menacing Emperor and Darth Maul. Storm Troopers will also be there to maintain order, so best behaviour is advised!
The working model of R2D2, whirling around the exhibition is like an electronic Pied Piper, and it’s not just the kids who give chase!
Some high profile members of the original cast will be present, so bring your autograph books! Already confirmed at Dublin Invasion are Kenny Baker (R2D2), Paul Blake (Greedo), Michael John Kingma (Tarfful the Wookie), Julian Glover (General Veers), Jeremy Bulloch (Boba Fett) and Garrick Hagon (Biggs Darklighter), not forgetting mega collector and Star Wars author Steve Sansweet.
I challenge you to find a better day out. This, for me, represents an awesome gift idea for young and old.
I am going, and I am counting down the days. A full report on this stunning Star Wars exhibition will follow…..

Alive & Kicking is an innovative African social enterprise that manufactures sports balls to provide balls for children, create jobs for adults and promote health education through sport.
Since 2004 Alive & Kicking has produced and distributed 300,000 balls, provided 150 sustainable jobs, and targeted 40,000 children with the HIV / AIDS campaign.
Alive & Kicking balls are hand stitched out of local leather. They are tougher than imported synthetic balls, last far longer on rough ground and therefore give children in Africa lasting fun. Every ball carries a message about HIV/AIDS and malaria, which can be used by teachers and sports coaches to broach discussions with children on these deadly diseases.
The handmade Alive & Kicking footballs cost £32.50 and arrive hand-wrapped in a gift box with a card marking your donation. The footballs are made out of locally sourced materials in Kenya and Zambia and are professionally stitched by local adults who are given essential employment at a fair wage by the UK charity Alive & Kicking.
