You could create or buy a design reflecting a particular time of year.  Choosing something for the upcoming Halloween and Christmas celebrations (my favourite time of year).  Or if you are going on a stag or hen night, personalise you very own merchandise with humorist slogans, adding some fun and laughs on this special night.  Maybe you are a mad keen fan of a particular movie like Twilight?  There is a large selection of products based on many movies like Twilight to choose from, and if you don’t like them, well, design your own!

I have received a selection of products from CafePress and am impressed with them all.  From personalised tee shirts and bags, to badges and clocks, all can carry different slogans of you choice, making it very personal for the person you are buying it for.  I must admit, my new favourite item to wear now is their Hoodie.  It is incredibly comfortable and warm, and I am not surprised that the Hoodies are one of CafePress’s best sellers.  I highly recommend it.

Now, this is the kind of thing that I just love!  Anything that is handmade gift really does it for me.  You just know that a lot of care and attention has been put into your chosen gift.  So, if you want to look for a special personalised gift guaranteed to make a wonderful keepsake, Samigail’s Gifts is the one to look at!

The difference with these is that the gifts, keepsakes and plaques are personalised using the unusual art of pyrography – wood burning.  And what’s more is that the business owner Fiona Morris does it all herself.

Gifts for many occasions are available, from the ever popular 1st day of school plaque, to fairy wands and weddings.  Fiona prides herself in the fact that her gifts have been chosen for particular important occasions, and feels honoured that this is the case.

I luckily got to check out two products she has available.  The first is the wooden rectangular Fathers Plaque.  This can be for father’s day, a birthday or just for the simple fact of being a special Daddy!  This really is a sweet idea.  You can choose what you want to write on the plaque itself, with whatever personal message you want.  It is priced at an amazing £5.00, bargain!

Another that I got to check out was the Rag Doll ‘Sunny’.  She stands at a perfect 35cm tall, looks adorable and makes a great soft toy for your child.  She is colourful and bright, truly living up to her name.  Around her neck is a wooden tag onto which you can have your personal message written, also by pyrography.  Either have just the name of the child on it, or have a special message written.  It is your choice entirely.  Sunny will make a fantasic handmade gift.  She is priced at a small £12.50, and trust me, for what you get that is an amazing price!

Now, this is a gift that my Nan will love!  Personalised Tea - Special Blend

image

My Nan loves nothing better than relaxing with a nice cup of tea.  As she says, tea is the cure to most things, guaranteed to warm us up on a cold day.  So when I seen this gift, I just had to check it out.  This Personalised Tea Tin is just the very thing to buy tea lovers.  You can personalise the tin with the name of your choice on the front, and on the back you can add 3 lines of personal messages.  Also, you get to choose from either 125g of English Blend tea leaves or tea bags.

I love the idea of this, simple but very effective.  The tin is good quality and will last a long time on display in your kitchen (it does look good!), just simply refill when it is empty.

The Personalised Tea Boxes are priced at £9.95, and are available from http://www.gettingpersonal.co.uk.  You can also have the option of including a tea infuser with your gift for £5.  What a bargain.

To add a bit of uniqueness to your child’s bedroom, YabbaYabba have introduced some dazzling and fun wall art.  These will be sure to capture the personality of your child as the fun, bright and gorgeous little being they are.  Not only can you get some truly remarkable designs, also available are a collection of personalised prints – perfect for a fantastic gift.

One that I just had to see was the My Little Monkey Personalised Print Canvas.  This really has the adorable factor!  It will most definitely be a hit with your little man (I know my little man loves it!), and mum and dad will love it too.  You can have the name of your child printed onto the canvas, which is weaved in through the jungle vines.  I think this would make a great gift for any occasion, be it a new arrival to the family or just a birthday present from Granny.

If you think that your ‘little monkey’ is too grown-up for this print, you should check out the Caveman and Dinosaur prints – a great gift for that slightly older child.
YabbaYabba also have Bunting for a girl’s bedroom, making fantastic children’s wall art.  This can also be personalised with your child’s name.  I am sure any little girl would love it, as it is everything a little girl adores.  The colour can be changed according to your request, so if you want it blue for a boy – no problem!

The personalised prints are priced at £39.95 and can be bought from http://www.yabbayabbaonline.co.uk.  Many other are canvases are available, prices starting from £18.95.

For those who have been to a Build-a-Bear workshop, you will agree with me that it is the most enjoyable, exciting thing you can do with your child.  For those who have not been there, I have to ask you ‘Why Not?’  I completely urge you to visit a store and explore it for yourselves.

As a family, my Fiancé, two boys and myself went to the Build-A-Bear Workshop.  We were greeted at the door by an enthusiastic assistant and manager Glen, whom then introduced us to Roisin and Alana, who really got us all excited about the experience ahead of us.  If all the staff at Build-A-Bear Workshops are like these assistants, then you will definitely get in the spirit within seconds!

What soon became apparent was a genuine care for the child in question. This is totally for the children, with the emphasis being on giving the little ones experiences (and bears!) that they will not forget. All the staff were extra friendly and completely in tune with the kids. It was refreshing to see this kind of attitude as opposed to everything being about profit.
