The trees are bespoke to your requirements, so prices vary but Sweet Trees are around £40 - £55 with arrangements £35 - £60.

Do you know a sweet lover?! Would this be the perfect gift? The trees could be a great anniversary or birthday present and would also work really well in the corporate sector.

In short, I think I am going to start tree hugging. Totally love this great use of sweets.

I was sent the most stunning new cookbook for men, ‘How to feed a man’ is packed full of beautiful images, poetry and some fantastic recipes.

Created by Stasha Palos, an artist and food lover who has given us a collection of visual feasts. This is the best looking cook book I have seen for some time. But, it is so much more than a cook book.

image

It’s a collection of wonderful images, beautiful thoughts and poetry. Stasha has clearly put her heart into this and the result is you almost feel like she has become a friend.

It is so sweetly personal, the book feels like reading a diary! ‘How to feed a man’ is a book of pleasure and enjoyment, which you will keep coming back to.

The foreword by Marco Pierre White sums it up really well – ‘Firstly, the sexiest cookery book I have ever cast my eyes over…’ and ‘A book in my opinion, constructed by a proper woman who knows how to capture her man’s imagination’.

This would make a wonderful gift, you can buy it online for £19.99 (just click the link).

Stasha has also turned her creative talents to a range of T shirts, which have already been seen on Tess Daly, Vernon Kay and Simon Cowell. These are also available to buy from Stasha’s website at £15.

Featuring bold slogans, these retro chic T shirts are selling out fast.

So refreshing to see a book produced from love rather than something designed to be a mass seller. ‘How to feed a man’ is simply a stunning new lifestyle cookbook. Every kitchen / coffee table should have one.

If you haven’t heard about It’s Your story, then I am more than happy to tell you all about them and their newest adventure. Just think of how happy you little one would be to receive a book in which they star!  Well, thanks to the ingenious It’s Your Story, this can be made into reality.

Being the first company in the UK to sell photo-personalised books on the web, they have a superb range of 26 books as well as cards, party invites, e-books, e-cards and even a photo-personalised Father Christmas letter.  Sounds good, doesn’t it!  And now, they have a fantastic E-Book available which will be delivered to your inbox in less than 5 minutes after completion of your order!  And it couldn’t be easier to do!

There are two stories available, the very popular SuperSox and an Animated Snowman story.  I have actually seen both of these in the book style, with my own children being the star’s of the book!  The stories are absolutely fantastic.  But now with computers becoming increasingly in use with the younger generation, the version of the E-Story is a splendid idea.

Let me tell you a little about SuperSox and the vanishing teddies.  The story follows the child’s adventures as they track down the evil Professor and Noxious Weed who have stolen the children’s teddies. You will be able to see how SuperSox squeezes through keyholes, blasts through walls and flies through the sky to rescue the teddies.  It’s a fun story which will guarantee a lot of giggles!

Once you have placed your order you will receive an email with a link to view the e-story as many times as you want. This can be forwarded to friends and family so they can see your superhero in action!

All you have to do is give details of the child’s surname, address, family members, names of two friends, age, hair and eye colour, favourite TV programme, weight, height, size of feet and the name for the teddy bear that will also features in the story.  Simply pay the small fee of £4.99, and you will have your story completed and delivered in 5 minutes.  You have got to love this one!

Check out http://www.itsyourstory.co.uk for ordering details.

I will be dead straight with you – I love real ale…maybe a little too much, but we all have our vices!

It comes as no surprise that I have managed to track down the most perfect Christmas gift for a real ale drinker, I was on a bit of a mission. Mini Cask deliveries are just too expensive, and anyway, I have found something much better.

The Mr Beer Real Ale Homebrew Kit from Treathim.com has been a real hit in my house. It is a homebrew kit, but do not be put off by poor imitations. The West Coast Pale Ale kit is more than just chucking ingredients into a bucket and hoping for the best.

image

There are two stages to the brew - preparing the ‘wort’, the mix that is the base of the real ale, and after a week to ten days the bottling process, which will naturally carbonate your beer. This takes at least a week.

After a week waiting, I tried my first brew. It wasn’t bad, but a little flat. I left it a few more days and went back to another bottle. A very satisfying fizz when I opened the bottle was just what I wanted to hear.

The brew is better than most guest ales you get in pubs. I really mean that. This week, I have to work hard and finish these bottles off as I have another brew waiting to be bottled, ready for New Years Eve!

The fact I made this fab real ale all by myself is just brilliant. I totally recommend the kit, it’s technical enough to be a slight challenge, yet simple enough to be an enjoyable task.

The results speak for themselves, my real ale would hold it’s own against a lot of professionally brewed ales.

If you are looking for the perfect Christmas gift for a real ale drinker, you have just found it!
