Are you looking for some Christmas gift ideas and festive drinks inspiration for the whisky connoisseur in your life?  Well, I have a few award winning single malt whiskies for you to choose from.  There really is a whisky for all this Christmas with gifts guaranteed to delight both whisky connoisseurs and newcomers to the ‘water of life’ this festive season.

Highland Park 12 year old single malt (£30) is a great all rounder whisky.  This could well be a malt to savour on Christmas Day. This may well be the youngest in the Highland Park range, but it doesn’t disappoint in taste!  It has a sweet and smoky fragrance of peat with notes of honey and fruit. The 12 year old whisky is exceptionally smooth and light, with a velvet texture and delightful tones of light butterscotch. It’s totally delectable and would be perfect for any festive occasion.

Highland Park also offers a 18 year old single malt (£67) which has a rich full flavour and a slightly more expensive 50 year old whisky.  This retails at a staggering £10,000 and definitely holds the wow factor – it will impress many (if you can luckily afford it!).
