Electronic Arts Sequel to “Active Personal Trainer” is “Active More Workouts” and is exactly that, a right work out. I am knackered.

Retailing at £29.99, this is excellent value. The Active range gives you your own virtual personal trainer to guide you through the various exercises, like running, squatting and bicep curls. All the time, your coach is giving you feedback and advice to improve your exercise routine.

This is always going to be compared to Wii’s Fit, but I prefer this version and it’s different take on exercise. This release is more pushed towards hard work and sweat, rather than prancing around in daft yoga positions. It is two player, which is great for bringing out any competitiveness with your partner.

There are leg straps to use, instead of the Fit board. I think that this gives a better clarity to on screen movements. Long and short term goal settings add to the longevity of this game.

Although slight movements hurt, I feel great! The Wii Fit didn’t do this to me. If you want a calming, relaxed game, this isn’t it. If you want to work hard and sweat all those calories off you, this is the one. Or you could go to the gym and fork out on a real personal trainer, but where’s the fun in that?
