Alive & Kicking is an innovative African social enterprise that manufactures sports balls to provide balls for children, create jobs for adults and promote health education through sport.

Since 2004 Alive & Kicking has produced and distributed 300,000 balls, provided 150 sustainable jobs, and targeted 40,000 children with the HIV / AIDS campaign.

Alive & Kicking balls are hand stitched out of local leather. They are tougher than imported synthetic balls, last far longer on rough ground and therefore give children in Africa lasting fun. Every ball carries a message about HIV/AIDS and malaria, which can be used by teachers and sports coaches to broach discussions with children on these deadly diseases.

The handmade Alive & Kicking footballs cost £32.50 and arrive hand-wrapped in a gift box with a card marking your donation. The footballs are made out of locally sourced materials in Kenya and Zambia and are professionally stitched by local adults who are given essential employment at a fair wage by the UK charity Alive & Kicking.  For more information please visit http://www.aliveandkicking.org.uk.
