Here’s a great gift idea for any occasion – a little box of fresh spices complete with recipe cards for a main course and dessert. Season and Spice is an online company that allows you to choose to send three, six or 12 deliveries, then every month they post out a little box of the freshest spices, all measured out to make simple seasonal recipes.  All the recipient has to do is buy the other ingredients and enjoy cooking up a treat for up to four people.

There is a vegetarian and non-vegetarian option, the boxes are small enough that they will fit through the letter box and boxes can be mailed across the UK and internationally as they are light enough for air mail.  The spring season contains dishes such as Spice Crusted New Potato Salad and Tahitian Vanilla & Lavender Pannacotta.  The spices are sourced direct from their country of origin or from ethnic wholesalers in this country with their own suppliers.  They grind and blend all the spices just before postage so they’re fresh.
