Gold’s Gym heritage 65 Range review
In the world of Working Out, nothing is more Iconic than Gold’s Gym. The first Gold’s Gym opened in 1965 in Venice Beach, California.
Dubbed “the Mecca of bodybuilding”, it was frequented by Arnold Schwarzenegger and featured in the 1977 movie “Pumping Iron”.
Today, Gold’s Gym is a global giant, with Gym’s and clothing lines everywhere. The Heritage 65 range, available at John Lewis, is a real trip back in time. The range consists of exercise equipment manufactured from traditional materials such as brass and leather.

Chest Expanders have been around for decades, in one form or another. This lightweight and portable chest expander is perfect for comprehensive upper body training. It has comfortable solid wood handles and is fully adjustable for ease of use. Great for workouts anytime, anywhere to build that impressive chest you’ve always wanted. £19.99
Push Pull Chin Up Set is made from Brass and looks fantastic. Retailing at £39.95, they add a little something to the traditional push ups, pull ups and sit ups. The set comes with 2 push up bars, a door mounted sit up bar and adjustable chin bar.
The range includes boxing gloves, medicine balls, dumbbells, speedball and skipping rope to name a few. All these items have an extra special touch of quality to them. Even the packaging looks suitably retro.
The range is a throwback to the good old days before steroids where only hard work and sweat would get you the results you craved. Loved them.
