Harrods SeaBob Jet 5.12
Retailing at £6,500 ($13,000) from Harrods, the SeaBob is not going to be within everybody’s reach. Which is a shame because this piece of kit really is a little gem.
The Seabob enables a smooth glide through water, hydrodynamic shape and a unique patented jet stream engine which offers rapid change of direction and speed.
The Harrods web site says:
“The entire Seabob drive mechanism is emission free, quiet and reliable. The internal workings are manufactured to exacting standards using quality components and high grade coatings. The Seabob engine and drive mechanism are designed to ensure the motor is robust, durable and maintenance free. The Seabob is powered by Li ion battery unit. Li ion batteries have been developed by the space industry to ensure a battery can be repeatedly charged with out noticeable detriment to performance or memory loss. The Seabob Jet 5.12 comes with a standard charger (this takes 8-12 hours to charge). You can purchase a quick charger for this model which charges your Seabob in 90 minutes. This costs £999. Steering and diving are achieved by a simple shift of body weight, whilst the ergonomically designed control grips regulate speed. The Seabob is easy to use and free of any licensing restrictions.”
