Keep Dry and Itchy Skin at Bay this Summer

The summer is here, and the festivals are upon us.  The many people, who like to ‘party’, also like to take care of themselves (if they are fit to), and most importantly look after their skin!  Our skin can easily show the signs of a partied out supporter. This is mainly down to excessive sun exposure, high levels of alcohol consumption, lack of sleep, sweating and generally less washing than usual due to lack of amenities.  With this all combined, our skin concerns become obvious.  We can suffer from redness, itchiness and eczema and also cold sores.

So thanks to the Skin Shop, you can now make sure that the prevailing sensitive skin, or just problem skins stay safe over this festival period.  The Skin Shop has three products to help you do just that.  These must have products are:-

• KALME SPF25 Day Defence
• Defensil
• Liquorice Balm

The new KALME SPF25 Day Defence cream is a Caper and Zinc sun cream which will keep skin KALME! It has a triple action on skin: providing Sun Protection, reducing Redness, and providing 24 hour moisturisation. Clinically proven, this cream will reduce your skins sensitivity by 70%, an amazing percentage, and at the same time combat skin dryness and dehydration

KALME day Defence also contains a patented antioxidant called NDGA, which is up to100 times more effective than vitamin E, C or grape seed and proven in clinical trials to reduce skin inflammation.
KALME Day Defence does not contain steroids or chemicals, but is made from naturally active ingredients that have been clinically tested for highly sensitive skins and skins prone to redness.

For summer Eczema sufferers, the Skin Shop offers Defensil, a rescue skin serum which will bring you a quick relief.  My sister has suffered eczema her whole life, so I was more than happy for her to test out the sample I received.  And you know what?  It actually worked, she was shocked at the relief it actually gave her.  This cream offered her more relief than any other treatments she has tried!
Defensil combines two key natural ingredients, a concentrated extract from Cardiospermum seed and cold pressed Echium Oil, which has been shown in combination in trials to stabilise and regenerate the skin barrier and act effectively against itching caused by very dry skin and eczema.

The anti-itching effects of Defensil are due to the presence of natural steroids called phytosteroles in an isolated form of concentrated Cadriospermum seed extract called Beta-Sitosterol, which has been found in trials to help reduce the intense itching caused by eczema and very dry sensitive skin.

Lastly, you can kiss goodbye to summer cold sores with Liquorice Balm.  Sun is the main culprit for cold sore outbreaks, giving nearly 30 million sufferers worldwide.  For many, once they get the virus, they experience regular outbreaks of cold sores, sometimes as often as once a month and especially during the summer as not only is the sun a major trigger, but too much alcohol and lack of sleep can also contribute to outbreaks.
Liquorice Balm helps reduce such regular outbreaks. Unlike conventional treatments, due to its naturally derived ingredients, sufferers can wear the lip balm at all times, meaning that the intensity of the cold sore outbreaks could be diminished before they really have a chance to take hold.  Just rub into your lips as and when necessary, leaving them feeling nourished and well conditioned.

When I first sampled this superb Liquorice Balm, Liquorice All-Sorts came to mind.  I am quite fond of these sweets, so to have the taste every time I lick my lips is just wonderful.  Most definitely one to try out and one that will be in my handbag all summer.
