At Iconic Gifts, it is important for us to remain impartial. I found that very difficult with one of the latest releases from Kettler, the company responsible for giving me many fond childhood memories. My own Go-Cart was much loved and I looked forward to taking delivery of this model.

My two Junior two testers, aged 3 and 4, got stuck straight in. The adjustable seat is a useful addition, giving added longevity to the product. The Monte Carlo K4 S is designed for use by 3 – 5 years. There were no problems in getting the cart moving, and my youngest hasn’t mastered full rotation of peddles on his bike yet.

The look of the Go-Cart has been improved upon, bringing a more up to date appearance. Sporty and yet still incredibly sturdy, this will turn the heads of your loved one’s peers.

There is a free-wheel function, which is useful for when little legs get tired. Cleverly, there has been a handy ledge added to the rear of the bucket seat, perfect for pushing duties.

The dual hand-brake is present, which as I remember, was excellent in producing stunning hand-brake turns. The resin wheels with rubber tread give robustness as well as grip.

My anticipation for the Monte Carlo K4 S was justified. The ease of movement, the turning circle, the speed and the look of this mini racer add up to a fantastical ride of pure fun. Being able to “drive” opened the imagination floodgates. “Toy tester 1” really didn’t need to dress up in his Daddy’s hat and coat, but I appreciated the connection!

I think I nearly enjoyed the Monte Carlo K4 S as much as my boys. Fathers of the world…..you need this!
