If you’ve not yet been caught up in he trend for ‘dentist clean’ teeth every morning and before you go to bed then it’s about time you did! Electric toothbrushes have made a massive comeback in the past few years and the technology and design has moved on to a new level.

We recently had the opportunity to trial the Oral-B® Triumph™ PC 4000, which retails for £130. It may seem a lot of money to spend on your pearlers BUT without proper brushing your teeth simply are not going to stand the test of time.

The PC4000 is rechargeable and at full charge we found it lasted for around 30 long brushes. It’s simple to use, has a battery indicator on the handle and allows you to select a few different brush cycles dependent upon how sensitive your teeth are. As with all the Oral B electric toothbrushes, you have a choice of heads to use, all of which do a slightly different thing.

What’s more, the brush indicates if you are brushing too hard, something that is quite harmful for your gums more than anything. It also tells you when you’ve completed your clean.

I have to say that after trying this tooth brush for the past 2 weeks I definitely won’t be going back to my ordinary brush - the difference is clean is so vast that once you’ve tried it I can pretty much guarantee you also will be converted.

If I have one gripe, that would be that the Oral B replacement brushes are a little on the pricy side, but then they do last a good amount of time, the same as a traditional brush I’d say.
