Puddledub know their meat. They know how to produce, prepare and deliver Perfect Pork.

All the animals are fed home grown feed and given the best conditions possible. This sound ethic should be followed by others, the taste is evident - the end product is so much better, and the animal has lived a better life. Puddledub do all the butcher work, curing, sausage making, smoking, slicing and packing in their own premises. Quality control from conception to consumption is totally in their hands.

The gammon steaks are excellent while the smoked bacon is just heavenly. I have a butcher local to me that supplys Harrods with their bacon. Puddledub takes quality and taste to the next level, completely outdoing my old favourite rashers. Just to really force home the point - this bacon is very very, special!

The Sausages are just as tasty, with good honest flavours and succulent meats and herbs that blend harmoniously. Please avoid supermarket rubbish, fresh butchers sausages like these need to be championed.

My favourites have to be the Pork Belly and stuffed Pork Belly joints. Cook up a storm with these amazing joints, let the flavours combine with all the fat and crisp up. I am just remembering the smell from the oven!

Puddledub now has an online ordering system, meaning everybody can sample this wonderful Scottish Pork. I have had a look at the site and the prices are really good for the quality / quantity being offered.

So maybe, you have to buy a gift for a food lover. Push to boat out and get them something special from Puddledub…Just make sure you are around when they are planning to eat it!

“Probably the Best Bacon I have tasted in a very, very long time. Absolutely as Scottish bacon should be. Not often I taste things which are as outstanding as this” -Nick Nairn, Celebrity chef
