The blockbuster that was Transformers The Movie has set the scene for a complete domination of the Christmas 2008 toys market. Already, the best selling toy on Amazon is the Transformers Movie Leader - Optimus Prime.

But I would bet that the aside from the iconic Optimus, the Transformers Movie Ultimate Bumblebee will put up a very strong fight.

Retailing for £79.99 ($160) the Bumblebee is described by Toys R Us as follows:

“Earth’s first line of defence against the Decepticons is here! The Transformers Ultimate Bumblebee is realistic with amazing detail and special animatronic features that bring the toy to life!

In car mode, Bumblebee is an 1/14 scale Camaro concept with realistic car features. By rolling the vehicle you activate headlights and revving engine sounds. Stopping activates taillights and screeching brakes or crashing sounds. Convert the car to robot mode, and with the touch of a button, robotic Bumblebee comes to life with speech, music, battle and conversion sounds and animated head, arms and wings.”
