The Diamond Jubilee Chess Set

This honourable Royal chess set was designed in association with St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle and features an array of beautifully hand painted figures including The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh. The Bishop is modelled on the Right Reverend David Connor, who is the current Dean of Windsor and the Knight is based on a Military Knight of Windsor which is an order founded in 1348. The Rook is modelled on the famous Round Tower of Windsor which dates back to the late 12th century. The pawns represent the choristers of St George’s Chapel, Windsor. Each chess set will also include a Parchment Certificate.
