The Eden Project Gift review
The Eden Project have some inspiring gift ideas, some of which are listed below, but I very much recommend you going to their website. Revenues from these products are returned to all sources of manufacture / produce.
I start with the Bottle top bag, which is a beautiful bit of rubbish, if that’s ok to say. It is made from recycled can tops and forms a stunning looking handmade bag. This is made in villiages in El Salvador, Brazil. These can tops would have ended up in Landfills. At £45.00 this is a great looking gift, with a strong sense of giving something back to the planet.
How about an Olive set, featuring an Olive tree and kiln jar containing marinated olives (they are gorgeous!) or a coffee plant with El Salvador Monte sion coffee beans, complete with Ceramic Eden mug. I cannot wait for my Olive tree to bear fruit – I bet you know someone who adores olives / Coffee, wouldn’t this be an ideal gift? £19.50 each.
The Eden Project also have a range of clocks made from recycled coffee cups. These all have sleek designs and have the appearance of slate rather than compressed coffee cups! These look the business.
So, If you want to buy a gift, you could go for something mass produced probably made in China. Or you could help the environment and the communities where these items were produced. No more need be said….
