A great first MP3 player for a child or one for the keen runner perhaps, this little (smaller than a credit card) bundle of joy offers 20 hours of playback (4GB – 8GB of storage), a set of headphones, recording facility and a graphic equalizer. For £30 you simply can’t argue with that!

We recently got our hands on one to trial and to be honest, can’t find fault when you consider the price of it. If you wanted to be picky you could say it’s quite ‘plastic’ feeling, but as I mentioned above, the quality is more than adequate when considering price.

If you want to charge it, you simply plug it into your PC/laptop’s USB port and give it a few hours, job done. The battery lasts for ages, even with my son listening to music and looking at photos on it for ages.

So, to summarise – fantastic product at a very tempting price point, a great introduction to personal music for a child.

Of course, it depends on the quality of the meal, not to mention the price. In these penny pinching days, it’s good to have a meal out option that will not break the bank yet still deliver quality that will ensure an enjoyable time with a loved one.

I think I have cracked it. Do you want a quality establishment, with equal quality in the food served and a bill that will make you want to dance about?

I recently went to a local Beefeater Grill. It was during a lovely spell of weather and the Bridge Barn in Woking was a perfect setting – lovely grounds right by the canal.

We went for lunch and immediately noticed it was busy. It’s always a good sign when a restaurant is busy. It’s even better when there are enough capable staff to cater for these busy periods.

The lunchtime menu is as extensive as the evening menu, featuring all the usual classic dishes. The lunch menu comes with the added bonus of having ‘value’ dishes to choose from. Fish and chips for less than a fiver, or steak and chips for £6.99!

The evening menu does also have value options available – How about 2 courses for £10.99 or 3 for £12.99?

I chose the rump steak ordered rare. The steak was tender and moist and cooked perfectly. I am guessing the chefs know their stuff, they must cook 100s of steaks and I am also guessing each steak is cooked to each customer’s specifications every time.

All this value and quality….and it gets better. Bottomless chips! Yep, a never ending supply of chips. I also appreciated the real ale choices. I went for a couple of spitfires and (again) I couldn’t find fault.

The food was perfect, the staff were excellent, the setting was beautiful and the price was the best bit.

Next time you are looking to treat your loved one, you really should consider a Beefeater Grill near you, they do not disappoint!

The original game idea took Satoshi Tajiri six years to develop. Its intricate plots and character traits where scrutinized over and over again until Tajiri was satisfied he had captured the essence of his original idea.
That attention to detail has paid off as Pokémon remains a favourite with children, even today beating off competition from the likes of Moshi Monsters.

Best summed up by Galil Tilden, Nintendo’s Vice President, “Pokémon is much more than a phenomenon – It’s now a children’s entertainment staple here in America and globally… From the video games, to the toys, to the TV series, Pokémon’s staying power is evident in its multifaceted appeal to its broad fan base.”

The latest batch of Pokémon toys, Pokémon Attack Figures, are superior to their rivals. Guess what? You can actually ‘play’ with these toys! (What, exactly, do you do with a Moshi Monster?)

I had a closer look at Attack Figure Snivy which comes with a shooting attack base that is designed to represent Snivy’s Grass attack type. The attack base can shoot plastic attack disks up to six feet.

To play, set the Snivy figure on top of the attack base, then load a disk inside the base. Squeeze the levers together to send the disk flying toward the targets.

Attack Figure Snivy comes with a Snivy figure, an attack base, two Pokémon character targets, two target stands, and four disks. You coulkd always use Moshi Monsters, I found a use finally – they make great targets!

Other Attack Figure characters include Oshawott, Tepig, and Pikachu. The Pokémon Attack Figures have lots going for them – well made, collectible and a LOT of fun.

I loved Thundercats when I was a boy and was pleased to see the revival of Thundercats with a new animated cartoon. The cartoon, which has been embraced by a new generation, is much better than the original.

Bandai have released a new range of Thundercats action figures and like the cartoon, they are much better than the original figures. Much, much better.

Modern day action figures can be over the top with articulation, whereas older action figures couldn’t be moved enough. The Thundercats action figures have just the right points of articulation to be playable and poseable.

The detail is also superb. A mirror image of the cartoon characters, helping to engage little ones into really playing with the figures.

As an added bonus, each figure comes with its own themed accessories and incorporates the magnet powered Thunder Lynx system.

I thoroughly recommend these Thundercats action figures. They look great, play great and are sensibly priced.
