Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 PS3 Review

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is the third installment in Infinity Ward’s first person shooter franchise. The much anticipated CoD: MW3 continues right where Modern Warfare 2 left off.

The plot is slick and full of twists and progresses the MW story nicely. The visuals add to this and lend a filmic quality. In MW3, you get to control a Russian Federal Protective Services agent, SAS Operative, tank gunner, and AC-130 gunner as well as other characters from previous games.

Single player mode in MW3 brings new teams to light while also following old favourites such as soap. MW3 utilises all the best bits of the previous 2 modern Warfares as well as bringing in new and exciting weapons, and areas of combat.

So far, so good!

You would be disappointed if the Multiplayer option didn`t work as well as previous incarnations. Thankfully, this is the games strongest point. And with new additions such as `kill confirmed`, MW3 brings new tactics and game play styles to the field.

My only gripe is that the maps are a little small, but that is pretty much it.

New functions such as `Special Ops` and `Survival` also increases this games appeal.

The game is fun and filled with adrenalin and really good to play with your buddies. It is the quintessential run’n’gun type game.
