We have tried a lot of home security systems, but we have to say that Y-Cam offers the clearest image and most reliable image at this price. 720p recording is crystal clear during the day-time and clarity of sound recording is also top notch. The Y-Cam also uses some pretty sophisticated tech to ensure that the image is always sharp and never fuzzy. The beauty of this camera is that it works well at night too. Thanks to powerful infrared LEDs the image produce is fairly crisp, even up to 15 metres away. The camera automatically detects when the LEDs need to be deployed too, so automatic transition from light to day is seamless.

The kit comes with a fairly robust mounting kit, which allows you to fix the camera to an external wall safely and securely. The process was fairly simple here and didn’t take too long at all. The process of setting up the camera and the account took a little longer, so expect to set aside an hour or so to get your camera perfectly installed. An hour to keep your house safer isn’t much to ask though!
