JAM Transit Micro Sport Wireless Earbuds Reviewed
It’s spring and you are probably looking for another set of headphones to take with you on your relentless Summer exercise regime. Am I right? The problem is, the audio market is now at absolute saturation point with headphone offerings and you may be left scratching your head for your next purchase. Luckily, here at Iconic, we are always intrigued to see a brand step out of the ordinary by offering something different and eye catching. That is exactly what JAM has done with their latest Transit Micro Sport Wireless Earbuds.
A relatively old player on the block, JAM Audio has created some fantastic audio products over the years and we are happy to tell you that these snazzy ear buds carry on this legacy. Each set of headphones comes neatly packaged within a good quality, colour-matching BPA-free water bottle, but it’s on the inside of that bottle where the headphones really start to come to life.
It would be easy for such an eye-catching package to carry an inferior product and for the offering here to be one of style over substance. However, on this occasion, this is not the case. The headphones themselves have a 30-metre Bluetooth connectivity for wireless integration with most modern devices, therefore making them perfect for users on the go and doing activities. The Transit Micros are also very versatile and can be customised to fit almost all sizes and all occasions. Thanks to a range of ear hooks, fins and JAM Securlock turbine technology, once these earbuds are in, they are in! We tried them out running and they sat perfectly for the duration of the exercise with minimal movement. Not only were the Transit Micros secure, but they also are sweat resistant and therefore were unharmed during the less glamorous effects of rigorous exercise.
Other neat features include an inbuilt lithium ion-battery for on the go power. The brand claim they can offer up to 10 hours of play-time, but in our testing, we found this to be more around 8 hours of playback and recharging taking not too long at all for a full charge. To further optimise the ease of use on the go, the headphones are also equipped integrated controls on the cable and a speakerphone for calls too. The control has the full range of pause, play, skip and volume buttons too, which makes a nice change from headphones, which has a more minimalist approach here.
The Transit Micro Sport Wireless Earbuds pack great audio punch with fantastic bass and a strong level of detail to boot. Overall, they are a very comprehensive offering for their price point and the bonus of a water bottle is a nice touch too.
