We Love Lidl’s Vintage inspired Bluetooth Speaker

Lidl are of course a go to destination for great value food and drink. However, what you may not be aware of is there great range of value technology and home ware products. The Lidl Vintage Inspired Bluetooth Speaker is one of Lidl’s Summer tech products and we were super excited to get our hands on one. Ideal for Summer picnics, BBQs or even just for use around the house, this retro offering is a great musical addition to any home. Plus, we would suggest the vintage look makes it a perfect candidate for a Father’s Day gift.

The speaker has a really sleek, old-school design and looks much like a classic guitar amp. If you know anyone who was a wannabe rocker (or still is!), then this is a great buy for them.

At the top of the speaker you will find a series of buttons and dials, which also carry on the retro theme and offer a great range of functionality. These handy buttons offer great sound control with treble, bass and volume options all catered for. Each dial looks fab, but for us, this is the only area of the speaker where the build quality is a bit lacking. In fact, the build of the speaker on the whole is robust and feels like it will last, so it’s a shame the dials didn’t quite have the same level of detail.

On the top control unit, you will also find the Bluetooth button and this simply has to be clicked to begin the syncing process with another Bluetooth device. Once connected to your device, you can then control the volume using the device and there is no need to fiddle with the dials on the speaker. The sound itself is deep and rich at lower volumes. There is a great sense of bass and clarity too. At the very upper volumes there is a slight distortion and this is a little disappointing.

Another great addition to this speaker is a lithium ion battery, which allows for it to be portable and easy to use outdoors. The battery probably lasts just under 4 hours and therefore should give you enough juice for a few BBQ songs. However, be aware the device takes quite some time to charge and should be thought of well in advance.

For £49.99 the styling, deep sound and overall quality of the product makes the Vintage speaker great value for money. Available now from a Lidl near you.
