Perhaps costing a touch more than your average advent calendar, these little beauties are guaranteed to bring far more merriment to the Christmas buildup than a choccie equivalent. In fact, every day will bring a whole new level of excitement about getting home from work.

We’re talking about booze ladened advent calendars by award winning company, Drinks By The Dram. In particular their whisky and rum calendars, which offer a 3cl surprise every day from 1st to 24th December. What’s more these aren’t your average tipples found on the top shelf of your local corner shop. Ok, these advent calendars may retail at £149.99, but you know what… I’d be happy as a pig in muck to receive one of these as my main Christmas present.

I love a tipple of whisky, and I’d never have dreamed of trying some of the amazing flavours on show here. In total, all the bottles add up to a decent 72cl, so even if you wanted to give them as a tasting set, that would work too. Double bubble!
